All creatures of our God and King Lift up your voice and let us sing O praise Him! O praise Him! Alleluia. Creation sent to me the centipede To witness the complexity Of one hundred legs that were moving unexpectedly Ironically, just as they were meant to be They’re fearfully and wonderfully made An organism prays in circadian rhythms The sun will rise, and the sun will set The sun will rise again so lift up your head This is life, not a static object preserved and displayed Like a relic of the dead You are not a fruitless tree with a rootless disease Growin’ in a bucket in a rich man’s home Next to the TV, tamed and alone Learnin’ to lust for the things you don’t own Like an armchair warrior who’s been dethroned Declawed and fixed Fightin’ for your life with unattended slit wrists Don’t let your name get intermingled with a number Cause it’s time to awaken from the devilish slumber And freely follow the forerunner to the Fatherland And rally ‘round the Renaissance man And the wisdom of His ways And all the work of His hands Catch come as catch can Concentrating on the good words of the Son of Man The plan is to withstand the demands of a confused oppressor A wolf in sheep’s clothes with monotonous lectures And questionable gestures Unequal measures Cultural pressures And synthetic textures Force fed instead of the most beautiful architecture Of our long lost, forgotten origins Earth, seed, fiber and the blood of my kin And that old rock where we confessed our sins Oh, my God, fellow man, and this great land They all cry out for full restoration And this will take patience And this will take the tribes and tongues of all the nations And all of creation groans in anticipation Waitin’ for the Son of God to be manifest And I can feel it burnin’ in my chest The liberation for the oppressed And it’s beautiful like the feet that bring good news It’s beautiful like this freedom tune It’s beautiful like the power to choose, to change Beautiful like the long awaited rain Beautiful like the healing pains Beautiful like to holy flames Coming down All creatures of our God and King Lift up your voice and let us sing O praise Him! O Praise Him! Alleluia

Rainbow 04:14
Somewhere over the rainbow In a world without end The old river flows down streets of gold It’s the light of men Come all you weary travelers and Rest your bones No trouble will beset my son Who comes back home Red was the blood that fell to the earth The orange flames gonna burn all the dross and the shame Of my selfish works Yellow harvest gathered in the sun The white winter will give way to the green growth of our love Flood waters rise swiftly, deep and blue O great wing of indigo healing gonna shelter you *Black sky when the promised one died Rejected and alone Now rise to the Lord of the skies Where he sits on the clouds enthroned Somwhere over the rainbow In a world without end The old river flows down streets of gold It’s the light of men Come all you weary travelers and Rest your bones No trouble will beset my son Who comes back home

107 03:44
This love endures forever Let the redeemed of the Lord say so He sent His word and it did heal us From our rebellion and our afflicted bones He called us home through the wilderness Far beyond the gates of death O Lord I was alone in the wilderness When you showed me faithfulness O Lord

Indiana Sky 03:52
Let’s dance upon our bare feet Underneath sycamore tree Climb up through that canopy To see the Indiana sky There’s no telling what we’ll find On back roads forgotten time We let our wonder be the sign That’s gonna lead us on this ride We waited for so long To hear the Spirit’s song And He wants us to sing It’s time to taste and see All the things we’re meant to be It ain’t too late to try And it’s not too soon to fly We’ll awaken with the dawn Spread our wings and gaze upon This new day where we belong It’s all an unfolding design Follow the rhythm of All that cultivates our love And every star that hangs above Will rejoice with us each night We waited for so long To hear the Spirit’s song And He wants us to sing It’s time to taste and see All the things you’re meant to be It ain’t too late to try And it’s not too soon to fly We waited for so long To hear the spirits song And He wants us to sing It’s our time to taste and see All the things we’re meant to be It aint to late to try And it’s not to soon to fly We will fly We will fly a We will fly And it’s not too late to try

I was a poor boy, Papa, when you decided you would make me wealthy I had the sickness in my bones I was sure enough far from home You made me healthy I was rejected, dejected, uncorrected, unprotected, defected from my people I was contriving, cliff diving, capsizing, no freedom rising from that deep hole But you made free, and I must sing You baptized me, just doin’ your thing I had the feeling all along that there was something peering strong over my shoulder And it got closer through the years through abandonment and tears as I got older Hitchhiking through the wilderness and bearing all my consequence I was a stranger You picked me up on sixty six, met me with love and kindness instead of anger And you made me free, and I must sing You baptize me, just doin’ your thing Now it’s a quarter ‘til the clock strikes, and hopefully the shock might Hit you like a rock fight or like a butcher’s block might Quick as lightning shock kite comes the key to lock tight The door on which he knock right now until it’s not night Everybody walk tight rope until their chalk white hopes Are wiped away by the wind If the devil’s your friend you got a burden on your back And some poison in your blood It’s a burden to unpack, leave it behind in the mud Click clack goes the old smoke stack and when it leaves It ain’t never coming back So you best be ready when the train comes steady It’s rollin’ heavy ‘round the bends, get on board my friend For the land of Lord cause the levee’s gonna break, in the end You made me free, and I must sing You baptized me, just doin’ your thing

Children of the earth Once dust but now alive Are living in tents of flesh and bone We hold a spiritual fire Set a flame in my heart Illuminate the darkest hours Where I wait before the dawn To see the glory and the power Of the Lord Alleluia, Alleluia Alleluia, Alleluia The older we become We must become more like a child Believing there’s a land that lies beyond All the things that we’ve seen Make my mind free from fears You know I can’t do it on my own The way is high but we could fly over When you heal our wings Alleluia, Alleluia Alleluia, Alleluia

about

Lost Animals is a collection of b-sides, singles, soundtrack work, and collaborations created during the time period of Josh's previous full length album "Jacaranda". This album was truly meant to be an extended play (EP) between his major works. In addition to these songs of various origin, Josh also created a few new songs, especially for this album, to bring some cohesion to the family of "Lost Animals".
